Off season reports - Week 1

Cobras - Troy

This week the Cobras after finding each other eventually, Finn was declared almost dead (Yep that is now an official medical term, you can ask either of the Dans) but he pulled through very quickly, decided to attend a surprise session organised by Dan 2.  The session was a leukemia support group that did guided meditation and we had to find our power animals, this was an interesting exercise.  Some of the power animals I can remember from the are mine which was a blue and white hooped cat.  Manbaby, we all know he is relaxed but his was a tree, he keeps claiming it was an Ent but lets be honest it doesn't matter how you spin it a tree is a tree.  There was Wetnose who's animal was an ant, I have to admit I enjoy stepping on them.  Dan 1 claimed his was something about a bald guy called Sven I think, I can't be sure what he was going on about I tuned out after he said "bald".  But I do have to say some good things about Sven I hear from Finn (Following his miraculous recovery, thanks to his power animal, it's a dragon) that Sven is part of collective that used to do architecture but recently moved into adult education.  They have reportedly lost their employment following the destruction of the Cobras frisbee center for kids who can't play good and wanna learn to do other stuff good too.

Slamtown - The Mayor

I wish I played for those Cobras guys, I am sick of these orange uniforms.  Seriously, who in their right mind chooses orange, I wish I could time travel and beat some sense into that guy.  Maybe it was someone that knew they were about to leave the Gold Coast.  Yep that is the only logical explanation, I wonder who has left recently, I'll come back with a list next week folks and we can figure out over time who is to blame.

This week we had a good game, it was played in good spirit.  We got out to an early break but they clawed it back by half time and took half.  We talked about things at half and came out with a plan after half and our zone worked well and we were able to run away with the game thanks to a couple of lucky breaks. [Use this post when you forget the game except for the above vague details then remove this note]
