Round 12, and table update

Table update! Last week Blitz 1 put away Bugs (15-6), UQ continued to show their strength by losing to Cobras by only a few points (Cobras 15-12), Dojo beat Heroes (15-10), and Slamtown had a stroll through the park with Blitz 2 (15-3).

With Blitz still in the lead, they face a tough finish against both Cobras and Slamtown ... if they beat both, they deserve to stand on top of the table. But with Cobras and Slamtown only a point behind them, if they lose to either they could easily drop down after sitting at the top for most of the season.

Next week is the week of awesome match ups! 1v 3 (Blitz 1 v Cobras), 2 v 4 (Slamtown v Dojo), 5v 6 (UQ v Heroes) and 7 v 8 (Blitz 2 v Bugs). Tasty.

And the only match report for this week comes from Seb. Thanks Seb!

Heroes - Seb
Dojo defeated Heroes last night 15 to 10 in a relatively unspectacular game. Both teams base most of their success on clean offense and minimising turnovers. So, although it felt like both teams were just going through the motions, Dojo capitalised on the mistakes that Heroes made and were able to comfortably run away with the win.

  1. It was a strange evening when the Cobras played the children of the Unicorn. They seem to be and ever growing and unrelenting pool of players. You remove the dominant blond haired blue eyed handler (Otherwise know as the MBW) and all that happens is that two more walk forward to take his place. It seemed every time we ran away from one of these monsters that anther would take their place right next to us. Confusion and terror filled the Cobras and this lead to infighting and derision, the Dans and Gio were furious that they were out Halloweened on this most special of days. On a side note (I know it is surprising that I would have one), Halloween must be Americas greatest cultural gift to the world. They found a way to convince girls to dress up in every possible sexy costume that guys would normally have to do something amazing to even get in the bedroom and the wear it in front of everyone, thank you America. If this is the price that has to be paid for your countries removal of personal freedom from every resident of the world, that's right I said it, America killed freedom! I still say it is worth it. Anyway back to the point of the storey, they were upset about the Halloween thing. Then I don't know some other stuff happened and I found $5.

  2. SUPER excited about this week!

There's SO much on the line for all the teams.

Blitz, Cobras and Slamtown are all in the same boat - they've all secured finals spots and they all need to win this week to keep their minor premiership hopes alive.

Dojo desperately need a win to avoid a sudden death match against the fast finishing UQ Lovers (who they lost to earlier in the season).

UQ Lovers will have their hands full with the Heroes, but they will earn themselves a chance at a sudden death match with Dojo next week with a win this week.

Buggers are looking like a new team with Ferg and Jangles back and will no doubt want to notch up their first win for the season against their Blitz 2 rivals.

    VERY EXCITING!!

    Cunliffe.
